Placement cells don't change in a single meeting. They change when faculty, students and management each take a step. Between July and September 2026, four colleges in Kerala and Tamil Nadu took those steps with us.
GEMS Arts & Science College: starting with the faculty
On 1 July 2026, the Training & Placement Cell at GEMS Arts & Science College, Ramapuram, held Phase 1 of its Placement Tool and SOP Training in M.P. Narayana Menon Hall. The audience was the teaching faculty who serve as placement coordinators. Our Managing Director, Ajay Krishnan, led the session, walking coordinators through the platform and the operating procedures that keep a placement cell running all year.
Starting with faculty was deliberate. When coordinators own the process, students follow.
Sri G.V.G. Visalakshi College for Women: from classroom to corporate
On 10 July 2026, we were at Sri G.V.G. Visalakshi College for Women, Udumalpet, for a career guidance programme titled "Career Roadmap for IT: Classroom to Corporate". The college's Information Technology department records 146 students as beneficiaries.
The session mapped the route from an IT degree to a first job: which roles are open to freshers, what each one expects, and how to start preparing while still in college.
St. Mary's College, Puthanangadi: students build their CVs
On 22 September 2026, the Placement Cell and the Department of Computer Science at St. Mary's College jointly organised a practical session for final-year BCA students. The focus was hands-on: creating a professional CV, using placement applications effectively, and building the employability skills recruiters look for.
Students worked on their phones and laptops in the classroom, and left with resumes in progress.
MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram: a signed MoU
On 30 September 2026, the Training & Placement Cell at MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram, announced a Memorandum of Understanding for the deployment and integration of the MySkillDB placement platform. The MoU was signed in the presence of the Principal, Dr. Rahumathunza J, with representatives from MySkillDB and the T&P Cell.
The college describes the goal as a streamlined, data-driven platform that connects students with industry opportunities, tracks skill development and improves career readiness.
What ties these together
Each college began at a different point: faculty training, career guidance, student CVs, a formal agreement. All four are moving toward the same thing, which is a placement cell that works continuously instead of once a season.
If your college wants to take its first step, book a demo.
