Creating Job Assets & Learning Paths

MySkillDB turns accepted job descriptions into structured learning content—so students prepare for real roles, not abstract syllabi.

Auto-generated job assets

For each accepted job, admins can generate:

  • Reading modules — structured explainers of the role and responsibilities
  • Assessments — job-level tests tied to the description
  • Video scripts — faculty-ready scripts to explain the job in class or recordings
  • Flip cards — quick skill overviews students can revise on mobile

Skill-level resources

Go beyond job-level assets by configuring each required skill:

  • Attach video links (lecture recordings, YouTube, internal LMS)
  • Create skill-specific assessments
  • Share resources with enrolled students or entire batches

Building courses from jobs

  1. Create a Subject (e.g. "SDE Placement Prep 2026").
  2. Add Topics under the subject.
  3. Link one or more accepted jobs to each topic—your syllabus reflects actual hiring demand.
  4. Assign the course to departments or batches.

Personalised learning paths

Bundle videos, flip cards, and assessments into sequenced paths for students. Paths can lead to certification courses with completion tracking—placement officers see who is drive-ready before recruiters arrive on campus.

Certification workflow

  1. Define path requirements (videos watched, assessments passed, minimum scores).
  2. Assign paths to students or cohorts.
  3. Monitor completion on the placement dashboard.
  4. Students apply to related jobs with verified readiness scores.

Tips for placement success

  • Generate assets immediately after accepting a job—give students maximum prep time.
  • Reuse skill videos across multiple jobs that share requirements.
  • Align certification deadlines with Job Sprint or drive timelines.
