Class & Section set up

Define classes and sections so jobs, sprints, and content target the correct student batches.

  1. Confirm departments are in place

    Ensure all academic departments exist in Department Management before creating classes.

  2. Create classes

    See in platform guide

    Open the Classes modal in Classroom setup. Add each degree or program class (for example, B.Tech CSE 2025) under the correct department.

  3. Add sections within each class

    Use the Sections modal to define sections (A, B, C) for each class. Sections are the smallest unit for targeting sprints and content.

  4. Map sections to parent classes

    In Section–Class Assignments, link each section to its parent class and verify enrollment counts.

  5. Test scope selection

    Open Sprint or job targeting and confirm your new classes and sections appear correctly in scope pickers.
